PLANNING YOUR SESSION IN DETAIL

Plan your cake smash session here. Please fill in the questionnaire as detailed as possible.

Our session starts with the cake smash set up specially designed around your chosen theme using balloons, garlands & props to get a creative, fun back drop to capture your child first birthday. Once baby has smashed the cake we then add a bubble bath to the set up, this is a great way to get baby all clean for the next part of the session.

After the cake smash session we like to make sure you also have the opportunity to have non-birthday images, we take away all the decorations to capture a simple classic child portrait (this is were you can provide an outfit). Lastly, if you have chosen the Enhanced or Premium package, we do a mini family portrait to capture all the love and get the family portrait you would love for your memories.

THE CAKE

All of our cakes are made by @Blackangelcakes & @Bloombakesldn, we do all our cake smash sessions with very simple design that compliments the theme you have chosen. You have an option to have a semi naked, drip or florets with a topper and decoration. All of our cakes are butter cream cakes made with a vanilla sponge, please let us know if your child has any food allergies we need to be aware of.

With each cake smash, we provide the outfit for the session, each outfit will be chosen to compliment your theme. Options range from a baby grow, tutu, romper or bow tie but this can be discussed in more detail during telephone consultation (you can choose to provide your own outfit).

WHAT TO EXPECT, STEP BY STEP

Cake smash sessions last for 60-90min, we start the session with the Cake smash. You arrive to see your chosen them all set up with the cake ready to be smashed. Once the cake has been eaten and cute images have been taken, we then add an optional little bath to the set up. In the bathe, we can take your baby having fun in the bubbles splashing and kicking, It also gives us a chance to clean baby up ready for the baby portrait next. With the baby portrait, we take away all the birthday background and we take fresh, clean images in your outfit that you have brought along to the session and last we take a short simple family portrait, this will complete the session if you have chosen the Enhanced or Premium package.

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring everything you need for after your babies bath set up (towel / cream / bubble bath / hair products) at least 1-2 outfits for the birthday child, this will be used for the child portrait and family portrait. For the family, please come picture ready with 1 outfit.

THE PLAN

THE LOCATION & PARKING

The studio is located in Parkhall Business Centre on the first floor. You can find free parking outside the main entrance on Martell road, Robson road. Please do not park inside the business centre.

REMAINING BALANCE

You will need to pay the remaining balance no later than 1 week before your session date. You will be sent an invoice for this after your telephone consultation.

LATENESS

Session are up to 90 minutes long. If you are more than 15 min late, your session will be cut short.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Once we have received your answers you will receive a telephone consultation to go over any other details and answer any other questions you may have.

After your session, you will receive a link to your online gallery within 2-3 weeks after your session, you will be able to select extra images and products with our packages provided or add-ons.
